I have finally created a page which might be of use to anyone living in the U.S. and concerned about sulfites. On this page (here) I have posted a list of all the companies I have contacted over the past couple of years, asking them about the presence of absence of sulfites in their products. The answers (or lack thereof) I received are there for you to see. I think this is not only a way of helping out sulfite-intolerant people, but also to somewhat put pressure on the food industry to be more open about the problem : sulfites are only listed on a package if above a certain level. This is definitely a case when we need to know : people with sulfite issues sometimes end up in hospital with anaphylaxis– not a fun thing.

For too many years, my husband was treated for asthma, seasonal allergies, watery eyes and migraines... until we changed our diet, eliminating gluten, dairy products and most of all any type of additive, in particular sulfites. My cooking had to change, which in time pushed me to start this blog where I share the recipes that work for us. Happy healthy cooking everyone! Note: many of these recipes are now available on
