Food for thought… 🙂

Hi everyone!  As we are all getting busy with our year-end preparations, I would like to share this interesting article from the New York Times:

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/08/dining/mindful-eating-as-food-for-thought.html?contentCollection=smarter-living&hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=second-column-region®ion=top-news&WT.nav=top-news
Sit down, take the time to read it, and let me know what you think!

  1. Ah – this is one of the concepts I teach my clients – its part of the mantra: chew twice as long, eat half as much, take twice the time and eat twice as often 🙂 Loved the analogy of cookie monster – that is sooo true in our society of rushing through a meal!!!

      1. Oh yes indeed!!! When my children and I sit down to eat I often am reminded how rushed I was in school to hurry up then we would get home and my father telling us to slow down… Fortunately my kiddos haven’t developed quite as bad of a habit as I have… I still find myself having to be reminded to sllloooow down!
